MADISON - John C. LaFlash, age 52, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 3, 1999. John was born in Madison on April 25, 1947, the son of Walter and Bernice (Birrenkott) LaFlash. He was a 1965 graduate of Madison Central High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. John had worked for over 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Lions Club, Home Talent Softball, and the Madison Coin Club. John lover the Packers and the White Sox. He is survived by his wife, Sharolyn; three sons, Chad (Dale Decker), Jason (Lisa), and Andrew LaFlash; his mother, Bernice; a sister, Mary (Auric) Gold; three brothers, Steve (Sue), Mark, and Jim LaFlash, all of Madison; and numerous other relatives in the Madison area. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter. A four hour visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 1999 at FITCH LAWRENCE SANFILLIPPO CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 6021 University Avenue. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 1999, also at the funeral home. Father Douglas Dushack will officiate. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
