Obituary: Susan Salt

MADISON - Susan M. (Salt) Borquist, age 45, passed away on Monday, June 14, 1993, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born on July 15, 1947, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Susan Salt married John Borquist on August 29, 1965 in Madison, where she was a life long resident. She was an administrative secretary for the Madison Christian Community (Advent Lutheran Church and Community of Hope - U.C.C.) from 1986 to 1993. She was recently employed as a computer systems operator for Bethel Lutheran Church. Susan was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, John M. Borquist of Madison; four daughters, Jacqueline of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Debra of Madison, Pamela of Milwaukee, Julie of Madison; her parents, Norman and Jean Salt of Madison; a grandson, Theodore John Borquist-Peterson; a brother, James Salt of Madison; a sister, Jennifer Salt of Madison; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many special friends. Memorial services will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, 312 Wisconsin Ave., at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 18; Pastor James Koza will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., from 5:00 until 8:oo p.m. on Thursday, June 17. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Susan Salt Borquist memorial. Susan has been a devoted and loving mother, daughter, wife, grandmother (nana), and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.
